Are You Ready to Rule the Roost at the Idaho State Fair Poultry Show?

The Eastern Idaho State Fair has been a tradition for over a century. It offers entertainment and educational experiences to the public in a clean, safe setting. It also features more than 2,000 animals, including dairy and beef cattle, light and draft horses, sheep, pigs, and Native American livestock. This event has 26 different competition categories, including a poultry show.
Each county is invited to enter one team in the Senior, Junior, or C division. Each team is comprised of three or four members. The members of the team must be at least 13 years of age as of Jan. 1 of the current year. All members must be registered members of Idaho 4-H Online. They must also have completed a qualifying contest in their county. Lastly, contestants must be enrolled in 4-H or have approved county extension offices in order to compete.

The Eastern Idaho State Fair is an annual event that takes place in Blackfoot, Idaho. Held on Labor Day weekend, the fair attracts about 230,000 visitors.
