However, that town has fewer than 1,000 residents and doesn’t celebrate Planksgiving. The festival takes place in Daphne, which also has a restaurant similar to Fancie’s, known as Jesse’s Restaurant.

Before Wright built his Usonian-style homes, houses were small, functional structures and typically had only one door that led to the yard.

Taste the ‘Snakehandler Double Ipa’ at Alabama’s Heart of Dixie Spring Double Show?

Alabama is a craft brewing state that has embraced the craft brewing movement. This is most apparent in the Heart of Dixie, where Good People Brewing Company is located. These folks pushed for the ABV limit to be raised to 13.9 percent. This beer is a great example of how Alabama is supporting the craft brewing movement.
Good People Brewing has been in business since 2008 and produces five year-round beers and four seasonal flavors. There are also specials on occasion. Snake Handler is a caramel-colored mega-hoppy IPA that has notes of pine, citrus, pineapple, and grass.
Snake Handler is also available in cans. The brewery brewed this brew with five different varieties of hops. The result is a refreshing, dangerously drinkable double IPA. The malt base balances the aggressive hop profile, which includes Columbus, Chinook, Cascade, and Simcoe. This beer is dry-hopped and has pineapple and other fruits, so it’s best enjoyed fresh.
Snake Handler is a Double IPA brewed with 10 percent ABV. Its drinkable bitterness makes it ideal for summer days. The amber-colored brew pours with a thick white head that dissipates to leave a moderate white film on the glass. Snake Handler is bitter at first but mellows out to form a pleasant finish. The IPA is brewed with Columbus and Cascade hops, along with 2-row malts.
