The Kansas State Fair is an annual event that celebrates the agricultural and livestock industries. The fair is managed by the Kansas State Board of Agriculture. It is located in Hutchinson, Kansas. Its first fair took place on September 29, 1875. The first fair featured horse barns, an agricultural building, a racetrack, and a grandstand. The first Kansas State Fair also featured a fine arts hall. The Fair also had rules prohibiting alcohol and lottery devices.
The fair is held in the Kansas State Fair, which features hundreds of entries from across the state. The event includes both 4-H and open competitions. There are a number of ways to get involved with the event, including volunteering and donating to the fair. For more information on volunteering at the fair, contact your local county extension office.
The collection contains records from the fair’s Board of Managers. The records include information about the fair’s activities, such as contest results, prizes awarded, and exhibitor contracts. The records also detail space allocation for displays. However, some of the records have been badly damaged and are difficult to read.
The show runs for four days. The livestock shows and the swine show begin on Saturday morning. On Saturday, there is also the turtle race and the bucket calf show. These two events are followed by a carnival. The horse speed events, horse racing, and livestock judging will continue on Sunday. There will also be the annual fair parade.

For the first time, market broiler chickens will be part of the livestock premium sale and the Inter-State Fair & Rodeco Poultry Show. The event is the 111th version of the livestock show and features livestock and animal exhibits. The show will also feature live entertainment in the grandstand on August 13-17.
To enter the show, exhibitors must have proof that their flock is Pullorum Typhoid Clean. This is done by presenting an official VS Form 9-2 signed by a certified blood testing agent. This document verifies that all birds older than four months had a negative pullorum typhoid test in the past year.
The number of entries per exhibitor is limited to six. Each entry is judged by a knowledgeable judge using the American Standard of Perfection. Exhibitors may use halters or collars. Mixed-breed poultry may be shown separately and judged against other breeds. Mixed breed birds will receive a participation ribbon.
Each exhibitor must pay a stall deposit of $5. This deposit must be returned to the fair after the fair. Exhibitors are required to clean their pens and stalls daily to the satisfaction of the superintendent. The fair board reserves the right to remove cords that pose a danger to livestock. The fair board also reserves the right to remove any animals that may be dangerous.
