Utah Fancy Poultry Association is proud to announce the addition of the American Standard of Perfection in their Spring Poultry Show. The competition consists of a range of divisions and classes for both young and experienced poultry enthusiasts. In general, the competition will include cocks, hens, and pullets. A cock is a male bird over one year of age. A pullet is a female bird under one year of age. The show also includes a Bantam Standard and an open class for juvenile exhibitors.
The National Breeders and Fanciers Association first published the American Standard of Perfection for rabbits in 1903. In addition, in 1925, the American Rabbit Breeders Association was formed. In addition to rabbits, there are also standards of perfection for mice and rats.
