The Central Coast Feather Fanciers (CCFF) is offering a monetary award to young poultry enthusiasts. The award, named for the late Patricia Woodland, is intended to help young poultry lovers advance their knowledge of poultry. To be eligible to receive the award, young poultry enthusiasts must be members of the CCFF, 4-H, FFA, or another organization that promotes poultry. They must also be residents of San Luis Obispo County.
The award honors outstanding contributions made to poultry science programs and is given annually. The winner of the award may choose to attend a college or university that specializes in poultry science. Cude is a rising junior undergraduate at the University of Arkansas studying poultry science. She is grateful for the opportunity to win the award and hopes to continue her education and pursue her passion for poultry.
The scholarship was created to promote diversity in the poultry industry. The winner of the award receives $5,000 and must be a member of a historically under-represented group in the U.S. The student’s scholastic achievement, service, and interest in the poultry industry will be considered.
